Chevy has been building trucks that have been American favorites for generations and the newest models are further proof that Chevy is in touch with the heartbeat of America. The Chevy Silverado is known for its position as one of the two most popular pickups in America and one of the two best-selling vehicles of any kind on earth. Chevy also builds stout 2500 and 3500 HD trucks and offers profitable commercial fleet vehicles as well. Come get behind the wheel of the new 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500
For 2023, the Chevy Silverado offers a wealth of available powertrains that can handle just about every towing and hauling challenge you come across. The long cabin creates an exceptional amount of legroom in the back row and you will appreciate the abundance of in-bed tie down points along with plenty of capacity in the bed. Here are some of the other highlights you'll be excited about with the new Chevy Silverado 1500 full-size pickup.
What's new for 2023?
The previous year’s Chevy Silverado 1500 was so capable and well-received that Chevy made minimal changes for 2023. The updated turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel increases its muscle to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. In the Duramax diesel, Chevy has added new pistons that come with a revised combustion bowl and new fuel injectors to give the new Chevy Duramax diesel even more strength.
Trim levels in the 2023 Chevy Silverado
For the latest model year, the Silverado gives truck buyers from Parker and Blythe, AZ a choice of seven trims to choose from:
- Work Truck
- Custom
- LT
- Trail Boss
- RST
- LTZ
- High Country
The base-level Work Truck and Custom trims are the right choice for contractors, farmers and ranchers who are watching their budgets. Raise your investment higher and you can get into the LT model and enjoy a more upscale interior. We recommend getting the new Chevy Silverado with the Crew Cab and the standard length bed to get maximum cargo and passenger space. The 5.3-liter V8 is less expensive but the diesel engine pays you back with outstanding durability, exceptional torque and surprisingly strong fuel economy.
Engines and performance
The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers a great choice of engines that include a turbocharged four-cylinder, two V8s, and a Duramax diesel 3.0-inline-six. To put it more simply, there's a Chevy Silverado 1500 for just about anything that comes your way. The fastest Silverado is the High Country and it can race from zero to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds. The smaller 5.3-liter engine with 355 horsepower takes only 6.1 seconds. The turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder comes with 420 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel generates 305 horsepower and a forceful 495 pound-feet of torque.
Towing and payload
The half-ton Chevy Silverado has a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. That's enough to out-pull the Ram 1500 by 550 pounds. You can get the Silverado’s best pulling power with the 6.2-liter V8 but the 5.3-liter V8 can still tow up to 11,500 pounds. Buyers in Bullhead City AZ who choose the turbocharged four-cylinder will drive away with up to 9,500 pounds of towing. Payload ranges from 1,870 pounds to a best-in-class 2,280 pounds.
